Some divisions and departments are very well managed, others have issues with mid-level managment unable to effectively lead teams. The annual holiday party formerly Christmas party brings patients in to tell their story and relate how the use of Medtronic products has affected their lives for the better. This holiday presentation is broadcast worldwide and is very moving.
This somewhat offsets some in-house departments' mid-level managers who can make jobs much more difficult by micromanaging aspects of the job or who require extensive superfluous documentation for certain jobs or tasks over and above required documentation needed for regulatory or quality requirements - appearing to be CYA documentation for management.
