I have lost another major piece of my heart and am on the verge of losing it all. On Tuesday, April 20th, , my son Austin's heart stopped and mine dropped! At 21 years of age, Austin was taken to Heaven to join his grandparents. A quick backstory for those who have never heard of or got to meet my sweet Austin Austin was shaken by his biological father at 2 and a half weeks old.
He pulled through after 2 brain surgeries, spent his first Christmas and almost New Year in the hospital. When he was 3 months old, shortly after a physical therapy appointments, we noticed he started having some similar scares after he was shaken, which happened to be pneumococcal meningitis, leading to his 3rd brain surgery. Even after those major surgeries, he was such a happy and good baby who simply wanted love and attention. Austin's personality went from silly to serious in 5 seconds and the looks would match!
