Seats are comfortable. Delta crew was outstanding! Cons: "The general cabin vent that runs down the length of the cabin over 13E blows on the side of 13D occupant's head. Since Scranton is humid this time of year I also had heavily moisture-laden air blowing against me which occasionally felt like water droplets. The sound of forceful rushing air is annoying enough but the muscles in my neck were cramping due to the cold air on the first part of the flight.
This is NOT the personal, adjustable vent I'm talking about. I know how to turn them off and redirect air flow. Perhaps there is a a crew controlled adjustment that had been neglected during this flight. Started on the ground during boarding, continued throughout flight. Pros: "The flight crew was nice and polite. They served drinks and snacks in a timely manner while on the flight.
Cons: "Flight was scheduled to leave early, the plane arrived, but they couldn't turn the plane around fast enough. We left the gat late, then pilot said we would still be arriving half an hour early. We arrived about 45 minutes late, and that was a problem because our connecting flight was due to depart now in 15 minutes. Lightning forced the airport to shutdown, which was great, we had a chance to catch our flight, but we were stuck in the airplane, and we couldn't get to our gate until the all-clear.
I know this is not Delta's fault, but they did arrive quite late on a flight that, according to them, would be early. They also never communicated to the other flight that there were several passengers catching that connection. So by the time we had ran to catch our connection they had closed the ramp.
So frustrating. The only thing that saved it was that our new flight was the new airbus, and although it left an hour and a half later, the comfort level was phenomenal. Pros: "Crew members were friendly and attentive.
Pros: "On time". Pros: "The pilot was excellent at considering and comunicating to passengers, when seatbelt needed or not for bathroom breaks, landing time, etc..
Crew was friendly and comunicated well. Boarding and getting off plane was smooth. Also, I had three seats to myself. Pros: "Affordable pricing, plane itself seemed to be in good condition. All of the crew was pleasant except one employee. Cons: "I was embarrassed by the crew member as I was finding my seat.
She asked if I had relation to the gentleman who I was to be sat next to. Once he and I replied no, they began laughing. I asked what was so funny and another guest said "it's going to be a long flight", to which she replied "Maybe you will, but I won't. This also made for an uncomfortable ride. Had these things not occurred I would given this flight a much higher rating.
Pros: "Spirit Airline Flight crew was pleasant and professional. They talked down to the customers and have no regards for customers with special circumstances. I was personally not affected but what I witnessed was the disgusting. Yours, 1SG Maurice Carter ". Pros: "The price of the flight was great, but even with an upgraded seat I will not be flying Frontier again.
I did not realize by upgrading and selecting my seat in row 4 that my seats do not recline. This caused several issues with my bad back and with the fold down tray on the seat in front of me. I had my laptop on the tray, and when the person in front of me leaned his seat back all the way suddenly, it pinched the top of the screen between the tray and the back of his seat and cracked my laptop exterior. The main issue was not being able to "stretch" by not having a reclining seat and experienced major discomfort and back pain both flights.
Cons: "We found out when we arrived at the airport, that the flight departure was delayed from pm to pm. At pm we departed. This flight mode continued the rest of the way into our destination airport. As we were taxiing into our assigned gate the flight crew came on over the intercom and announced that they were a little late and that there were 8 passengers who only had 10 minutes to make their connecting flight and asked that everyone on the plane please let these people go first on deplaning.
OK, no problem. We stopped at the gate, turned off the engines, the 8 people got up and moved to the front of the plane, then they didn't open the door for almost 8 minutes.
My wife and I will not be flying Frontier much in the future. Pros: "i was at the gate to get on the plane. Pros: "The staff that handled baggage was nice. Also, I liked that we made it safe. Cons: "My flight was supposed to leave at I got to the airport and went through security before I found out that my flight was delayed until The flight kept getting pushed back.
I waited 8 hours before the flight took off. There no outlets anywhere There were no food options. We were supposed to get a voucher, and I have not received it. Lastly, after waiting over 8 HOuRS, we still had to pay for snack and drink. I was ripped off and will not be flying with Frontier again. Pros: "No frills on a Frontier flight. The crew was generally update and smiled. Cons: "Frontier's fees and policy regarding having to pay for everything really puts me off this airline.
Maybe time to invest some of that soda money into your planes huh? Pros: "I arrived to my destinations on time Cons: "The whole negative experience started with having to pay for my carry on. Water was not given during the three hour flight - you pay for all refreshments! The planes feel like a budget experience with cheap fold down trays and arm rests that slam down making lots of noise, and there is very little foom under the seat to put a small bag.
My same small back pack that fits under other airlines seats wasn't even close to going under forcing me to straddle for the the entire flight.
I will NOT use Frontier again. The airline feels like Alligeant that costs much less. I'll stick with Southwest! Cons: "At no time was I made aware during my booking that they were going to charge for a carry on. Paying extra for sodas and for your seats. Seats that made riding a city bus seem like first class. The plane seemed like they bought it at the used plane lot, it even made noises in Flight that sounded like they had to restart the engine.
Flight attendants that were rude and unhelpful. Pros: "The pilot was extremely nice! Cons: "My husband was boarded last which is always awkward when going down the isles in an isle chair. You end up saying excuse me several times not to mention all eyes are on you.
Not easy to sleep on the plane. Seats were not that comfortable. Not able to recline. We were towards the back and the flight crew had the bright light on not to mention they were talking about their experiences with other people on different flights.
We had to wait for 20 mins for someone to come get my husband off the plane even after notifying the appropriate people. The Atlanta staff when arriving was extremely rude and unfriendly during a non-busy time. That was the worse experience we've ever had!!! Pros: "The staff were the only saving grace. Cons: "There should be a place to mark horrifying. It always appears that Frontier is the least expensive until you get hit with all the little charges.
The flights are always delayed and the plane was filthy. I know there was no time for staff to do there short cleaning routine, this was not from a single flight, looked like floors and seat have NEVER been cleaned.
Pros: "The crew was very friendly. Cons: "Every part of Frontier's system seems designed as a screw-you to customers. For example, I tried to pay for bags online, but the website and app were both down. But if you talk to a person, they charge you more money. The phone system is awful - it is extremely difficult to get to a live person.
If you say 'operator' or 'representative,' the computer can't understand you, and will hang up on you. Also, they strongly push you to check bags as they charge for carry-on , and the waits were incredibly long to pick up bags. It was slow on one end of our trip, and on the other, our bags didn't come out for an hour and forty minutes. The headache is not worth Frontier's rates being slightly cheaper. Pros: "I wish I had something nice to say Cons: "4 hour delay due to a maintenance issue that we were not made aware of until 2 hours into the delay.
Also, the crew did very little during flight time. By far the worst flight experience in my 30 years of flying. Cons: "Outbound flight: Delayed by 2 hours.
Returning Flight: Waited in line 2 hours just to check our bag. There was only one person working the bag drop counter and we were nearly late for our flight we had 15 mins to get through security. We had to sprint through the airport, only to find out our flight was delayed by 2. The airline lost half of our planes luggage, we were at the airport until am filing claims and still came home empty handed. Overall, terrible experience, terrible customer service, hidden fees all over the place - I would never recommend Frontier to anyone.
Pros: "The staff is friendly, but that doesn't come close to making up for everything else. The staff was really nice and friendly, but they came around offering drinks and I asked for a black coffee. You can't afford to provide a coffee to your customers? I was in row 36 and there was MASS confusion as to which seats were in which row.
The labels are not directly above the seats, so 15 to 20 people had to move around to get it right. The boarding zones make no sense either.
I was in zone 1 and was in the isle seat. Shouldn't the zones load all window seats first, then center, then isle? Common sense has gone out the window. Won't be flying frontier again. Cons: "We were at check in in plenty of time, but because there was only one person checkin us all in, we were almost late. The poor person checking us all in was under a great deal of pressure and went so far as to blame us for. To getting there in time.
Frontier needs. Ore than one person checking in people. Also, your Everything-as-cheap-as-we-can -make-it policy is evident in seating, tray tables, well, in everything. I still can't believe you nickel and dime everyone with everything.
I will say the flight attendants were very polite and helpful. I'm sorry they have to work for you. Never again, Frontier! Pros: "Attendants were helpful and friendly. Cons: "I did not like the surprise that I had to pay ANY fee, much less such a high fee, for a carry on and luggage.
Therefore, what I thought was an incentive to fly Frontier because I felt as though I was getting a great deal, became Just another money-grabbing corporation who I felt was insincere upfront about the added charges.
This made My flight even more than I would have paid total for a larger and more well-known carrier. Therefore, no more incentive To use Frontier In addition, the tray table was so small it was virtually useless. At least the service Was good Cokes should not really be at a cost, since the fare was higher than a larger carrier.
Cons: "The crew on board seemed to think they were doing the flight a favor by doing their job. Carelessly pouring water into cups with excessive splashing. One reached over aisle seated passengers' faces to get trash from other flyers. One in particular stored her belongings in the overhead bin above me and proceeded to lean her body particularly her pelvis region on my shoulder which, considering the space, was understandable to some extent, but not even a simple utterance of "excuse me," "pardon me," or even fair warning.
Then, we land, only to finally get to baggage claim to stand there waiting for my bag that "didn't make it". A older gentleman monitoring the belts suggested I go to the office and check there. Office was locked and no one was inside. So I wait in the checkin and ticketing line and a gentleman from Frontier's counter assisted me and checked the belt to ensure that my bag didn't get stuck or fall off of the belt.
No luck, so we called frontier back in Denver to see if my bag even made it onto my flight. They give us a "it's not here" and we filled a claim. So I sit here, waiting for 9 am eastern, waiting on a phone call hopefully saying they've located my bag and I go to a wedding in Alabama in ill fitting jeans and a small blazer I had in high school bc no store is open and my suit, along with my other belongings are just laying somewhere: back in Denver and they just didn't check when we called, or on the wrong plane, or spinning on a belt in some random city, or soaked out on the airfield of Atlanta.
Pros: "This is my return flight. No brainer. I'll take it. Get a carry on that fits under the seat in front of you. They didn't appear to care that people had carry on at the terminal despite saying it was going to cost way more to check at the terminal than online.
So some people had paid, other didnt. That seemed to irritate some of those who had paid as we talked about this with other people on the flight. I probably could have brought a full size carry on and not had to pay for it, but who knows.
We actually then waited on the tarmac for over an hour waiting for Frontier to back a plane out that was not even flying until later that afternoon. Our seats in our row did not recline back. I dont know if that was part of the low budget thing or something was broken. We were not in front of an exit row. There was not actually a button to push, so I assume it was part of the low budget thing and they just don't recline.
On check in, more cost issues come up - pick a seat They will make you pay for a middle seat next to the toilet if you want it. No one wants that seat, but if you want to sit next to the people in your party, you are going to have to pay for it.
I wouldnt recommend it to anyone. Cons: "The flight delayed repeatedly and we even had to board and get off the plane. Cons: "I've never met such a rude staff.
Every single attendant and ticket staff was horrific. Everything was dirty and the Frontier workers treat us like animals. I've also never been on any other airline even spirit that made you pay for a duffel bag. I will continue to fly Spirit or Delta from now on and never again with Frontier. Pros: "Crew were friendly and helpful".
Cons: "Four hour delay due to computer problems! Boarding starting out the gate then returning and deboarding. Cons: "I don't like paying for carry-on luggage, especially when I had no idea until I was about to board the plane. My seat was uncomfortable. I thought Row 5 on an Airbus would have reclining seats, but to my disappointment it did not. I was surprised when the attendant informed me that most of the seats in the front front of the aircraft do NOT recline.
Overall, flying Frontier reminded me of the one or two times I flew Spirit. I have avoided that airline ever since, and I will probably do the same with Frontier. Pros: "The crew is courteous but still not overly understanding of someone waiting in the airport for a flight for 8 hours without any explanation for the delay. Cons: "My flight was supposed to land in Tampa at pm and didn't land until am the next morning. This was a delay and a wait all with a 7 month old child.
Absolutely ridiculous. I won't be flying with them again if I can avoid it. Pros: "The crew was very professional, courteous. Cons: "Glad you asked. I have always loved flying, however; the aircraft have now morphed into a large aluminum tube that is noisy, and most noticeable, very, very crowded.
It will probably sound trivial, however, these days one barely has room to fold a newspaper OR enjoy a snack on those 4 by 8 in. You know this the first time I have ever been so critical of a flight of any kind. I just hope I don't see the day when they have everyone stand in the plane so that they can get more into it.
I fear the true pleasure of flying has gone out the pardon me window. Pros: "The only thing I liked about the flight is that we reached our destination safely.
Cons: "I didn't like how the airline didn't stick to their schedule. I understand that flights get delayed often. We were notified about the delay about less than an hour before the flight. It was pushed to Then The actual flight didn't leave until almost pm and landed in Atlanta passed 1am. This caused me south inconvenience. First, I had to take a half day off from work when I could've worked and got paid a full day.
Next, the airline wasted hours of my time I can't get back. Time I could've spent with my family that I'm only seeing for a short period of time. By the time we got to the airport, which was way later than expected, the concourse trains were not operating anymore. Lastly, I missed my ride after getting of the airport. I was supposed to ride the train Marta , but due to the delay, I missed the last ride.
Not only was I inconvenienced but it trickled down to my family and had to wake up on the wie hours of the morning to pick me up at 2am. Overall, it was a terrible experience. Cons: "I was disappointed that you charged for pop. Pros: "Nothing. Having my flight be over an hour late and then sitting on the runway for almost 2 more hours with nothing to eat or drink unless you purchased it! I could have flown another airline for what I ended up paying for Frontier and at least had a coke and some pretzels!
Cons: "No explanation just continued delays. Pros: "Hub was centrally located in Denver between the Rocky Mountains! Cons: "Every thing is an upcharge! Not even the carry-on bag is free! The only free drink on the plane is water. I chose not to pay upcharge for an economy seat and ended up in a middle seat towards the tail of the aircraft! By the time I paid for my carry-on and premium seat on the return flight, my trip became as expensive as business class but got a very bottom deader service!
Avoid this airline! Pros: "Nothing!! Cons: "My flight was delayed for 6 and a half hours. Then when I called customer service they said there was nothing they could do or credit any of the fees I incurred from paying for carry on baggage and said it was too bad the flight was delayed they didn't care at all. Pros: "Arriving safley". Cons: "The airline industry in general. Allowing a class system that can only be improved upon by diminishing the experience of others.
Iif you offer a convenience upgrade that gets you through the line faster then you just created an encentive to make sure the lines are long. Punishing those who can't afford to be comfortable. Coach bought the plane and first class is like skimming off the top. Must be nice". Pros: "Boarded quickly! Cons: "Didn't get asked for a drink. Walked right past me.
Pros: "Plane was on time. Crew was fine. Seating that I paid for was fine. Cons: "Paying extra to choose a seat. Paying extra for sparkling water and peanuts! It seems like you are hit with extras after you book your flight, which seems unfair to the consumer.
Pros: "For a cheap, quick flight under 3 hours this was a reasonable flight. It has the bare essentials, especially if you are traveling alone or without children. Luckily everyone was told to return to the gate and wait for the problem to be fixed this return flight was actually early!
The plane was clean and in good condition. Cons: "Aside from previous mentioned delay to destination, the unknown fact that you have to pay for your carry on luggage AFTER ticket purchase was a bit of a shocker Having to pay for something as simple as coffee or a small snack what happened to free peanuts and pretzels?
Again, this is a great airline for short flights but I don't know if i will be using them for a long flight in my future unless they have aircraft's with more comfortable options.
Cons: "The flight was still on the ground at the terminal". Cons: "Delayed over two hours leaving. When arrived sat on Tarmac for over half hour. Essentially they lied about the reason for the delay. Not timely at all I'm not sure will fly them again. Pros: "Nothing! Cons: "When I purchase tickets, I like to be able to compare prices fairly.
They do not do a good job disclosing you have to pay additional for luggage. Carry on is more than checked bags and if you don't do it online, it is more when you get to the airport. If you want a seat with your fellow passenger, the only way to ensure you sit together is by paying for a seat which is additional. Also, the only beverage you receive that is free is water. Anything you purchase can only be completed with a debit or credit card.
Pros: "They don't comply with thier own policies. Thier website says a carry on bag and a personal item such as a laptop bag is allowed free of charge. When i reach their with a very tiny suitcase and a laptop bag, the front end staff tells me I am fine and can go ahead with the sevurity line. And she was so rude that she wouldn't listen to anything.
I had no choice other than to pay. This was through kayak. I would request kayak to not keep any kinda relation qith such ripoff fraud companies, if they don't want bunch of bad reviews them self. Frontier has already millions of bad reviews and one more added from my side just now. I would never ever travel frontier again. N by the way the flight sucked as well. Pros: "On board the plane, the man next to me had a medical crisis event. The flight attendants on board responded immediately and ensured that he received medical help as soon as we landed.
They did an amazing job staying calm. Pros: "The plane we took, eventually, did not crash. Cons: "There was a "maintenance issue" with the plane.
That can happen. But the way the airline handled it was the problem. Every couple of hours they would push back the departure time. Before boarding, they announced they needed to move some passengers to different seats, "because there were less passengers than originally scheduled" to balance the weight. This turned out to be a lie because it was a different plane model.
I was moved from an upgraded seat to an unsatisfactory one with less leg room. When the plane finally did come in we sat on the tarmac for 60 minutes before taking off. They announced complimentary drinks AND snacks for the delay.
And, while I don't get excited one way or another over a bag of peanuts, when the air-waitress came around and tried to charge me for the snacks and claimed that it had never been promised, it was really annoying.
Delays happen. Please don't lie about what's going on. Pros: "Seats are not very comfortable. Pros: "It was straight through, no layovers. There was no entertainment, not even a magazine like Sky Mall, and the seat didn't recline, and the tray wasn't big enough for my two snacks and a soda Why didn't you just include that in the price, so it wasn't misleading.
I mean really? I've had better amenities on a military flight! Pros: "The crew member giving safety instructions was a rookie. However the other crew members were quick witted made us laugh. Cons: "The extra fees just kept rolling in! By the time I covered baggage cost and picking seats and buying snack I could have flown first class on another airlines!
I will never fly this way again. The seats are like lawn chairs, the trays are metal slabs too small for anything and everything on the plane is noisy! We had a child who would not quit playing with his tray or arm rest. Pinging or crying all the way to Atlanta. Bellowing not just crying!
Yes, I have children and yes I know how hard it is to fly with a small child. But not once did his mother make him stop! My teen had her first flight anxiety attack due to the consent pinging, crying and the scary flying maneuvers from the pilot. Never flying Frontier again! Pros: "1. Cons: "1. Then I was given the OK. After that, I observed several people with hardcover luggages, carry-ons and backpacks i.
By the way, the soft bag fit OK under the seat in front of me as it was a "soft" bag and I had leg room too. This made me feel it is a racial discrimination since I am a foreigner Chinese. It marred my otherwise 1 month enjoyable trip to various parts of USA. The price shown for each flight will be the average for all passengers including any infants. Compare vs. Cheapflights all none.
